Last night, the Boston Red Sox defeated the Cleveland Indians 5-2 at Fenway Park. From the beginning, Boston starting pitcher Jon Lester “had it” : all of his pitches were working and it looked like he might throw his second career no-hitter.
In the short term, none of us can achieve peak performance every day. But through the years, I feel I can tell who “has it” and who doesn’t — over the long term.
Those who “have it” are special — and increasingly hard to find. Unless, of course, you know what to look for!
