The Rangers fans last night behaved disgracefully in booing their team off the ice in game 3 of the Stanley Cup finals. No one should be more upset than the players themselves. The Rangers are doing everything they can to win. The LA Kings are simply the better team. Those who booed the Rangers need to grow up and get a life.
In 1976 and 1977, the Montreal Canadiens swept the Philadelphia Flyers and Boston Bruins, respectively, in winning the Stanley Cup. Each time, the Canadiens won the Cup on the road. Nevertheless, the Philadelphia and Boston fans gave their hometown heroes huge standing ovations, congratulating their guys for having a great season.
From the Flyers fans, it was a huge thank you to their guys for winning the Cup in 1974 and 1975, and getting back to the finals in 1976. From the Bruins fans, it was a huge salute to a brave team that gave everything it had against a supremely talented Montreal dynasty.
