“The CBS ‘Bible of Masters Adjectives’ “

CBS ought to publish a “Bible of Masters Adjectives.” Every time the network shows up at Augusta National Golf Club, I get the feeling I am watching a tournament being played in a golf cathedral: The announcers whisper in hushed tones. It’s as if they are kneeling down, bowing their heads, and praying as they call each tee shot, fairway approach, and putt. I mean, Augusta has its own “Amen Corner,” which includes the 2nd shot at the 11th hole, a treacherous tee shot at the Par 3 12th, and the first two shots of the 13th.

Some Americans are still familiar with the concept of “separation of church and state.” The way CBS covers the Masters, there is no separation of “Church and Golf.”
